How to resend credentials to a family member

If you need to resend the credentials to a family member, you must create new ones, as the passwords in the database are encrypted and it is impossible to know them even for the programmers.

Procedure to send a new password

• Go to the student profile associated with the family member.

• Go to the Family Members section of the student profile.

• Click on Edit in the top right corner.

• Click on the blue Change password button.

• Generate a new random password by clicking on the magic wand icon.

• Activate the toggle under the Send password label by setting it to Yes.

• Click on Save to confirm.

At this point, the family member will receive an email with the newly generated password.

Recommendations

• Do not reuse the same password for multiple users: it is always better to generate a unique password for each family member.

• Facilitate password change: the family member will be able to change it themselves from their profile after logging in.
